I don't actually think that the market is volatile and that there is any danger of the SAR being hit if we move it to today's high, but strange things do happen very often and I think it is better to be safe than sorry. My own perception (not related to the 60 Min flow) is that we are in correction mode and a valid upmove is not likely right away, so a whipsaw is what I would be more worried about.

Maybe some of our seniors can suggest whether we should bring down the SAR now.

rkm pls clear my doubt
to avoid getting whipsawed u r not moving sar. What how u get this idea that mkt may be volatile .is this your personal perception of mkt. based on some other studies ,or based simply as per 60mn flow .If no then pls tellus how to get this idea.

Seniors!! Now since NF has broken yesterday low but not yet the low of this trade (3:30 pm bar on 10th Aug) can we shift SAR to the high of today's 11 am bar high ?

Most people are using 20 to reverse, a few use 15 and some use 25. Each one has its own advantages and disadvantages, and it is very difficult to say which one is the most suitable.

I understand your sentiments - it takes some time to get used to the wild variations in the market. But since you are already short, there was nothing to worry about - the trend is still downwards, and Smart-trade and I had told you about the SAR.

Tomorrow's SAR at today's 2 pm bar high+f, unless of course we have a gap opening.

Adds are taken when PLs are cracked or at the low of a WRB and while taking adds also see if SAR is coming down or not otherwise your risk will go haywire.

Today's add at 5 min bar low was not what I would have taken. Friday's add at 5 min bar low was OK I guess.

1200-1300 hrs bar is also a pivot .. and a good pivot in my view .. one can bring his Stop down to this bar .. but there is only 20 points difference betweeen 1100-1200 hrs and 1200-1300 hrs bar . so its upto your discretion.

The confusion may be on account of the charts you are using…..here we are naming the bar according to its closing time (not the opening). Some charting services, like the one I use, are giving the opening time instead.

The bar I was referring to is the 10-11 am bar of Friday with a high of 4580. Now, though I think we can safely move the SAR to today's opening bar high + f.

Add coming up at Friday's low - add filter if MM allows. Guess many would already be carrying heavy adds so be careful.

I see very low activity in our forum on weekends….I agree that weekends are for family members (and would be family members for some of the younger lots) but we have 2 days and can surely spend a few minutes and post 1-2 charts on 60 min flow….this will help the new friends who are learning the method…Kapil,Puneet,Pattel,Bee,Komal,Satya, Neeraj….can we contribute 1-2 charts each on weekends with entry/exits marked on the same….we used to have it in TJ and also for some time in TS….can we revive this good practice ?

Needless to say I will also be contributing ….so can we start from next weekend ?? Look forward to everyone's participation….

Yes HVTrader can do that if it doesnt make things cumbersome for you. Personally, I dont use it….I mesn i dont bother about eod reversal after the 1st day of entering trade.

Thanks for posting the explanatory charts for our benefit. I agree that when the difference is small we should not move the stops, but what if there is a difference of, say, 25-30 points, like the PLs of yday and the 5th? I personally feel that I made a mistake yesterday in shifting my SAR back to the lod of the 5th.
