Was not sure about starting this thread … but guess everyone (including me) was just waiting for someone else to do it …

This is an old one but I think this goes quite well with the theme of the blog

My journey with Saint started as a Trader who made profits but kept on loosing most of them consistently, it was more due to lack of clearly defined rules than anything else. That was the first barrier to have a method that can carry me through thick and thin, so I was very lucky to get the 60 min. Flow method. This method put the Bottomline of my Trading profits as a smooth uptrending line.

After been practicing 60 min. for almost a year there is still only one objective that remains unconquered i.e. getting myself under control. Reading the Saint's blog gives me a feeling like he is talking to me directly looking into my eyes, his words tend to still ruffle my soul.

Saint sir plz. continue your wonderful quest of making us all better traders as we grow with you

Dear Prabhjeet….you echoed my thoughts…..Saint gave us strength in our wings so that we can fly high without any fear…..he made us believe that great trading success can be achieved by ordinary people without having the knowledge of artificial intelligence,neural networks,fuzzy logic ( as long as you understand simple pivot logic,,,that is more than enough)…….

He gave us strength of conviction and confidence to hold our head high and proudly say "I trade" and that is a great comforting feeling that recession,office politics,your boss's ego,his wife's "marzi",chamchegiri,economic downturn….nothing will affect us as long as we trade right…..

Thanks for all that Saint…..we cannot repay this debt…and we enjoy being in this debt…..

its been long time since Saint started "teach a man….." and the journey started from there continues.
hundreds or may be thousands have benefited from Saint's ideas. Many have gained what they had lost. and many
started in the stock market without having a losing streak. Many are gaining without much trouble to their mind and still
many will learn these methods and will learn from here.

Saint has shown us the way without demanding anything from us. its a tradition in our that we pay 'Gurudakshina" to our teacher.
its sure that Saint dont need anything from us. He earns what we dream of earning. yet it is our duty to pay 'dakshina' to our Guru.

I think we can do that by donating 5% of our profits. there are thousands of way to do that. not necessary to donate in cash. one can
directly provide food and clothes to poor people. books to poor students. can also donate for animals. in short try to be helpful to someone
with profits you have gained.

Saint was with us when we needed him, lets be with someone when they need us.
Hope saint dont mind this post.

Great going,SO,very happy and very proud if the above is indeed done…..I have said this many times before.Attack the markets,pull out profits,make sure your future is looked into,your family's etc,but never forget to give to a cause,the amount may be little,or a lot……To the beneficiary,you have made a difference.

Very insightful post sir…I'm sure all/most of us have gone through (are going through) this dilemma of taking profits. The psychology of trading is the most important and (in my opinion) the trickiest part. Thank you for this write-up…

also as discussed last week, it would be great if you could write something about yourself Saint (like how you began, your journey, lessons….)….I'm sure that would be tremendously helpful and inspirational.

Whats amazing is the way you put it. It would be a criminal offence for anyone who calls himself a trader and trades shorter (daily and lower) timeframes to not follow what is so very well put forthe buy you.

Great write up Saint.. In fact many traders find this the toughest part to handle and in the process end up blowing their trading accounts. The way you have explained how profit booking can also make a person broke is amazing.

Great second post too Saint….having been through both these phases, I completely identify with what you are saying. You've hit the nail on the head with this one….letting profits run - this is a very crucial point in a trader's success. I've always been very disciplined in taking losses and have improved a lot in letting profits run too….but there still are times when looking back, I end up kicking myself for not holding on to a position which had some more juice left. Its amazing how our mind plays tricks on us.

I think part of the problem may be under-capitalization…or bad MM (in the sense - taking too big a position for comfort). I think it's very important to first identify what to trade (for e.g. stocks or futures? long only or long/short both? which stocks? which futures? options? Commodities?… etc), based on one's analysis of one's own self and based on one's capitalization. Then one would be in a better position to control one's mind and to let the profits run their due course.

Just my thoughts…..

Thanks Tushar, you're right…there is no place to hide and markets will punish any in-discipline and inefficiencies. It is upto us to identify our mistakes and rectify them…Fortunately we have Saint to show us the way.

Saint sir,
As i was going through ur latest post on ur blog. I get the feeling that what u want to suggest that market is always trending if not in 60min then in 30min, if not in 30min then in 5min… As a trend trader we should be able to detect in which time frame market is trending and should trade in multiple time frame. Am I correct ?
If yes then plz explain how to trade in multiple time frame simultenously taking nifty fut as an example.

Great post Saint…TFA…learnt from you how important it is, and now cannot imagine trading without doing that analysis. Market are always trending…only on different time-frames at different times - great insight and inspiration for trend-followers.
