Took it today at 716…….but as per daily charts,right entry would be 732+8=740.

What a day with ABAN, Entered 719 after missing the initial move after 5 min bar, all with 60 min flow. Will be tracking this thread for daily flow.

Is this thread like a Interim uptrend thread(weekly perspective and trade daily) or something like bee does in his daily commodity trading?

Up and down with the daily charts,Pattel………in the Intermed Uptrend,we are looking at the higher tf and letting go of some daily moves if against the general trend of the weekly charts.Here,we are following the Flow like how we do in the 60min Flow,except that,many of the rules in the 60 is not required here.Just simple pivots play,and in a big vertical move,the 2 bar method kicks in.Of course,whatever we learnt about WRB and Failed Breakouts/breakdns will come into play if it happens.

And like the 60min Flow,we are not looking at Patterns,and we are not looking at Supports and Resistances except in one case….Not looking at Supports when Price crashes,but in a Move up,looking at Stiff Weekly Resistances at probable points to pull out profits,but only if it comes with other Flow Criteria….shall discuss more as and when it happens.

As always,we aim for the stars,but would settle for the moon……as always,a word of caution,MM as always,and if after counting,the most that you can take is less than 400 shares(1lot),then please play this only on the long side in cash,and stay out of the flow when we go short.But that has its problems……a broken flow is not flow at all.

And yes,another thing….we are not taking adds in this strategy,at least for now,till we are confident with this time frame.

We are now +120pts on ABAN Daily Flow………our stop is still at 660-f,means a fall from here gives us a loss of -80pts after being +120pts up…..we are no where near the point we are thinking of taking profits.

This strategy,to reiterate,is huge profits(just playing ABAN) and huge nausea type of play……so careful.If you are the variety that trades looking at your P/L and counting your every penny,this probably is not for you.If you are the type that does cartwheels and go party on making 200pts and gets depressed enough to lock yourself up in a loony-bin on losing the very profits……..this is not for you.

So careful abt this strategy…….. otherwise,if you can trade the charts and shut out all thought abt gains and losing it,welcome to great profits.

why at 601 Saint Sir? Any important levels….just following this thread, but quite unsure on sterlite buy at these level the latest pivot high is 641. Kindly ignore if there are separate rules for daily. I am thinking its same as 60 min….

Right entry was a few days back at these levels…..Got in today as had missed that point.Stop losses all remain the same as if we entered then.

As stated above,ABAN STOP raised to 870….EDIT:Raised to 840

Put Rs 1-2 as filter if any,Mansukh…….in this form,filters unimportant.However wide a filter you give it,a failure pattern will suck you into the trade before failing.A sure shot trend move will blast off from previous pivot highs and romp to new highs wherever you put your filter.So going with 1 or 2 Rs ,that's about it.

Correct entry into DLF would have been at 330,SL 274…..We missed that entry point.Next entry point is over the high of 20/7,with SL below the low of 17/7………that would be 355(entry today),with sl at 319.

If we get a bullish candle today,we are immediately raising stops to 332

Got it…thanks a lot!! I was looking at the 16/07 bar low (312.85) -f as the possible SL, thats why didn't get it. Would it have been too conservative to take that as the SL?

Not bad at all,MVK………More room for moves,no harm at all,how I see it is that,the 17th low once taken out,the 16th low will fall too.So would prefer to reverse the flow there.

Conservative would be to reverse at 13th low…..:)…….But then you end up playing the weekly charts and not the daily charts.:)

Like in 60min the moment we have a new high confirming the formation of new higher PL we bring our SAR to this recently formed PL, do not wait for hourly bar to complete .. in Daily also shall we follow the same.

So the moent new highs were made in BN today confirmed the PL of yday low .. so should one have bring SL there.. or wait until EOD for completioin of daily bar.

I came across this thread a few days ago and would like to participate, but at present in the cash segment. Please do indicate if I can enter any of the present five stocks in the daily flow at this stage - or perhaps I should wait either for a new pivot break or the next stock the flow goes long in.

I have read all the posts above, but it seems to me the pivots in Punj Lloyd and Tata Steel, for example, also appear to have coincided with breakouts above congestion/resistance zones. In the other cases the pivots are more distinct. Am I correct in thinking so?

Correct,Makhijani……..and as far as entry in is concerned,you can enter TATA STEEL or STERLITE on a one day pullback so long as above stops hold.But stay out of DLF and PUNJ for now,we are getting a bit of a vertical move,don't jump into it here.

That was serious……edit to the 60 min thing, these gaps in daily will be a problem, havent seen such big gaps in stocks…..look to learn more…

Basically,the answer to that one on RIL is that we would have stayed long untill 1900-f breaks.

This gives an opportunity to get in long into RIL …..Buying here at 1934(August Contracts-a Rs6 premium compared to July) with SL at 1890(giving it a bit wide).

MJ I have compiled data from each important thread (i.e. miniflow, 60 min flow, Bank Ambush & stock ambush, ambush charts, etc since inception of this thread). Instead of MJ going over thousands and thousands of posts, I can e-mail him this data. Though this data is in very raw state as I do not have enough time to sort and format it, but you will find this data with relevant date, member’s name and charts….

saint one query- is there any effect of bullish or bearish pivot(green or red) on decision making in daily flow ie if there is a bearish(red) high pivot then we can take long position in that stock if price moves up that one with filter or not n in other case if there is any bullish(green) lower pivot than can we go short on the breakdown of that pivot with filter or not??

Saint sir, this may be a stupid question, but I gotta ask: while trading stocks based on their daily and weekly charts, should we pay attention to only that particular stock's charts or should we also take into consideration the overall market trend also? Many times it has happened with me that a stock would trigger a buy on the daily/weekly and then if the overall market itself falls, my stock would go down with it.

So, lets say, if the Nifty is in a downtrend but a particular stock has triggered a buy, should we take it or wait for the Nifty to end its downtrend? If we take this trade, the risk of SL getting hit is higher.

We are already in RIL from 1912,MVK…..Because we got thrown about and reentered there.Perfectionistic entry long would be 1958+f…….Don't wait for an entry that comes all the way at 2067,although I know what you are looking at.

Classical Inv H&S and Pivot Strategy(Major),you are right,and that is how the crowd is looking at things……The strategy is to get in before the crowd realises things are getting bullish,and to exit before the crowd realises that the move is over.

Just for knowledge - lets say if we miss the initial entry in RIL and then see the inverted H&S pattern and the Pivot strategy, should we go for it or should we consider it as a missed opportunity and stay away? This is something which happens to me often - I look at a chart and, say for example, a pivot high is being taken out or there is a breakout from a major pattern - and then I look at all the entry points that I could've taken before, and it sometimes leads to my not being able to pull the trigger on that trade - many times to my regret.

Would really appreciate your thoughts on this issue and how to deal with it…..

Basically entering within a consolidation,Neeraj……the absolutely correct entry should have been 804+f.which we missed.

Mihir,have a look at Sterlite and Tata Steel…..they both put up impressive moves up and then came this pullback.Notice the degree of correction though………roughly abt 35% in Sterlite,nearly 50% in Tata Steel…..and therefore the concern.

If we did not have yesterday's move down in the markets,Sterlite continues to show the strength to go to new highs.Tata Steel on the other hand needs a rest before jumping higher.

It is like when you are trying to jump as high as you possibly can………If the kness are not flexed enough,you don't have the power to jump high.If the kness are overflexed,again you will not have the ability to reach as high as the person who flexes it just enough.

We are comparing 2 case scenarios here as to why one looks juicier than the other……why the other necessarily needs a period of rest before breaking new highs.At the end of the day,whatever the scenario,we are going to go with the Flow……..so all of the above are just some extra observations that come in handy for the Ambush Traders and Longer Term Traders.
